Last Saturday, Meera and I decided to go to Suria Sabah to check out books at Times so we can get references from actualbooks. And I would say it was fun. Just us girls hanging out doing what we wanted to in no hurry at all.
You know how it is when you go out with the boys. They will sigh and moan and become restless when it comes to malls and girls. Have you ever taken a guy or a bunch of dudes to go shopping at the mall or even to Servay? After a few minutes, their eyes start glazing over and soon they fidget and emit an aura of complete utter boredom.
Like the other day when a group of us went to the mall to go watch a movie. What movie? I can't remember. But what I do remember is that we girls have the tendency to disappear at an amazing speed when passing through boutiques or any shop that catches the eye, while guys are more focus on reaching their destination, in this case, the cinema.
It's funny how the guys had to stop abruptly to look around where Meera and I have disappeared to, just to find us ooh-ing and ahh-ing at high heels.
Anyways, back to the topic. We took the bus (although James thought that we two might get lost in the concrete jungle LOL), and got to Suria Sabah safely. Imagine the freedom we felt. Just us girls. Hehe. Stopping at any shop without having to inform or hear the sighs of the guys. Of course our main task was to go to Times. It was relaxing and we got to get our references. We even bought Oxford dictionaries (and now we're going to have Word of the Day :D) that costs around RM30.00 but definitely worth it because these included Thesaurus!
So all was well after we got out from the bookshop... until we decided to use the lift to go down. LOL. We nicely got into a crowded lift, just to find it going up instead of down. And when the lift doors opened, we found ourselves back on the same floor! I swore I pressed the right button. LOL. Us being our laughing and giggly selves, literally laughed ourselves to the conveniently close-by ladies.
I found that was so much fun. See. We can have fun, too, without the gang. Although... We do miss Rudolf's wit and sarcasm, James' bubbly persona, and even Jonathan! Not forgetting, of course, Yee.
After the laughing fit we had at the lifts, we went for a bite at Big Apple. Then, we went to Wisma Merdeka to look at shoes and clothes, but mostly shoes. After taking the city bus, we went to Wawasan Plaza to buy water bottles. Again, we laughed and joked at the bottles section until the attendants told us jokingly not to laugh too much or else we'll faint. LOL. Meera and I disagree because we know what actually happens if you laugh too much: a trip to the loo close at hand! LOL. In the end, only I got a pink bottle. I love it! But I do think the price was a little too dear.
Even the trip back on the bus was a laugh. We sat at the far end where our heads could already reach the ceiling of the bus. At every bump, we had to duck or stand a chance to win a knock on the head!
Meera, we should do this again! It was fun hanging out with you, LFFL!
